Central Heating Plant (CHP) - 130MW Operation and Maintenance Service (2013- Ongoing)

Location: Oyu Tolgoi mine site, Umnugovi Province

Role of participant: Contract Partner

Brief description of works:
Services of Operation, Maintenance for central Heating Facilities at Oyu Tolgoi mine site:

Heating plant: 130MW (CFB Boiler: 29MW x 4 Sets, 7MW x 2 Sets)
Heating distribution system (HDS)

Maintenance services:
All surface underground buried water utilities pipelines.

Maintaining 24/7 Reliable Operation
Maintain all surface underground buried water utilities pipelines, valves, valve pits.
Started providing pre-commissioning and commissioning support of CHP (2011 - 2012), overall, our project team at site has been providing operation and maintenance service of the plant (CHP) for over 14 years without major stoppage or interruption of the plant process.

Boiler overhaul service, testing and commissioning:

CFB 29MW Boiler x 2 Sets (Completed)
CFB 7MW Boiler x 2 Sets (Ongoing)

Key Features:

Boiler all heating surface demolation & installation work.
Refractory liner carried out with national workforce locally.

Pressure vessel and pressurized pipeline, pressure relief device service support Project
(2018-Ongoing)

Support Service and Inspection works:

Conduct scheduled inspections.
Perform repairs, replacement if necessary
Pressure relief devices Calibration (routine) and ensure functional reliability

Key Features:

Our team at site utilizes a fully equipped test bench in controlled environment to carry out calibration and testing works on pressure relief devices.

Local Manufacturing
Service Operation.

Through the years, working together, we have locally manufactured and supplied numerous critical steel components for the OT Underground project that have been successfully utilized for the development of the underground mine.

Building further upon our capabilities, experience – Together we continue to invest and develop our manufacturing, service and training operations in Umnugovi province, we strongly believe it has significant potential to contribute to the organic development of the local community while creating further value to our customers in the South Gobi region.
